This is believed to be a fortress where Richard, Duke of Glouchester stayed at until he became King Richard III.
Shopping is an important part of life here, and you can experience high street chain stores as well as small local shops. On Tuesdays you enjoy an open air market that once a month also includes a farmer's market. On Saturday, an auction is also included near the motorway. These markets are what has made the town famous and many people enjoy visiting them whole on holiday.
